We’re in Minnesota at the Minnesota Sportsmen’s Show at Canterbury Park in Shakopee. If you’re in the area and want to meet our owners, Trevor Montgomery or Barry Prall, stop by! I’ll be here too all weekend. Hours are 10a – 8pm (Sat 1/18) and 10a – 4pm (Sun 1/19).

We’re often asked when the best time to come is. Our answer is always, “When you can.” While conditions will change slightly throughout the summer, fishing remains good throughout our entire (short) season. It will also depend on your preferences and whether you want to fish pike or lake trout as the shallower water temps will fluctuate and move pike around from spawning bays to deeper weed beds.

One thing is certain, being on the lake when we open gives you the chance to be the first angler the fish see after a long winter’s rest. Right now, we have openings during the first week, June 14 – June 19. Contact us today to be one of the first to hoist a trophy lake trout from Tazin’s legendary waters!
