The best time of year is almost here! The crew is heading north to get camp open for our first guests on June 14th. You still have a chance to book a trip for our famous giant lake trout and big northern pike.
Our lake sees very little pressure so the opportunity to catch a lot of fish, with a legitimate chance at a monster is available.
We are a great place to put big numbers of fish in the boat as well. Last summer we were joined by Vic Cook, co-founder of LIVETARGET at the lodge and had a blast trying different LIVETARGET Lures, Mustad Rods, TUF-LINE and other products to catch lakers and pike.
He explains how he used his fly fishing background to bring a “match the hatch” approach to conventional fishing lures. He spent part of his time at Tazin with a fly rod as well.
